A Campout to Lean-To

Posted by GavinV on Nov 16 2017 - 7:14pm

This was yet another exciting and fun campout this year. Though we did arrive on Saturday instead of Friday, our work speed and quality of our lean-tos were as good as ever. And despite a couple of our lean-tos collapsing because of heavy winds, we still had a good night's rest and had a good, filling breakfast the next morning to make it back home. All in all, our campout was fun, exciting and relaxing all at once. We hope to see you at the next campout!

Wreath orders!

Posted by mhachig on Oct 29 2017 - 9:17pm

Wreath orders MUST be turned in by 9:00 pm on Monday, October 30, in order to be included with the Troop's order.  If you have any Holiday Gift orders, I must have the original, completed order form at that time as well.

Popcorn show and sell updates

Posted by mhachig on Oct 29 2017 - 9:16pm

Scouts in Troop 1701 completed 28 hours of Show and Sells.  As a result, each scout who participated will receive a credit of $72 toward their total popcorn sales for each hour worked.

Remind system - please sign up

Posted by mhachig on Oct 29 2017 - 9:14pm

I have set up the Troop as a class in Remind, which is often used by the Troy School District for class communication.  I plan to use this to notify parents about our ETA when returning from a campout, as well as other time sensitive notifications.

Welcome Back!

Posted by admin on Sep 10 2017 - 3:27am

Welcome back scouts! It’s been a long summer and we’re all pretty out of practice but we can get back to our scout duties now. We welcome our new scouts to our humble group of troop 1701. We have to scout out new campouts for this year, which will happen during our next meeting, September 12. Popcorn is really popping up everywhere this time of year, so we should get to selling it ASAP before everyone is stalked up on it! well , thanks for reading this and we hope to see you at the next meeting!   - Gavin V, Webmaster
